Wells Fargo and Michael Hohl Automotive donated a 2022 Chevy Trax through Military Warriors Support Foundation

CARSON CITY, NEV. – October 29, 2021 – For combat-wounded veterans, transitioning from the military back to civilian life can be a challenge. That, combined with the cost of a new vehicle, can put added burdens on our nation’s military service members and their families. To help, Wells Fargo teamed up with Michael Hohl Automotive and Military Warriors Support Foundation to present a payment-free 2022 Chevy Trax to former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Zebulon Jensen on Friday, October 29 at Michael Hohl Automotive.

“It is truly amazing to see that there are still people out there that care for veterans,” said Sergeant Jensen. “This vehicle will provide dependable transportation for me as a firefighter paramedic. I work long days and have a very long commute from Reno to Mesquite and to Fernley. Lots of driving, but I love my job. And it’s important to me that I will have this reliable vehicle to get me home from work to be with my family.”

The donation was made through Military Warriors Support Foundation’s Transportation4Heroes program, which awards payment-free vehicles and provides one year of family and financial mentorship to combat-wounded veterans and Gold Star families. According to the Foundation, the counseling has helped families in its program pay down, on average, about $30,000 in debt.

Former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Zebulon Jensen was born in St. George, Utah and grew up in Mesquite, Nevada. He joined the Marine Corps in 2002 to serve his country and, after boot camp in San Diego, was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines in Camp Horno, California. Sgt. Zebulon served a tour in Iraq and was part of the Battle of Fallujah. After returning stateside, he trained for and passed the scout sniper test and served a second tour in Iraq. During one of his deployments, he was wounded in combat and received the Purple Heart for his injuries. Additionally, he received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat ‘V’ Device, Combat Action Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal and more. After being honorably discharged in 2006, Jensen went back to school to become a firefighter paramedic. Today, he lives in Reno, Nevada with his family.

Wells Fargo Auto, a division of Wells Fargo Consumer Lending, started the Sponsored Vehicle Donation Program in 2015, and since then have worked with auto dealerships across the country to sponsor the donation of more than 50 payment-free vehicles and family and financial mentoring, valued at over $1.5 million, to combat-wounded veterans and Gold Star families through Military Warriors Support Foundation’s Transportation4Heroes program.
