Military Warriors Support Foundation’s Skills4Life program recently hosted two events.
On March 18 -20, 2022, Fish4Life launched an event – and boats – with the Patriot Catfishing. Every veteran had many chances to catch some monster catfish during this trip. Thirty veterans from all over were in attendance. Everyone was quickly paired with boat captains in a friendly competition to see who could bring in the largest catfish.
Our Hero Charles Graham brought in 75 total pounds in the overall competition, with a single catfish weighing in at 45.5 lbs and earning him the 3rd place spot. While not everyone could bring in as much as Charles Graham, every attendee was able to have a great experience and meet other amazing veterans. Each one was presented with a catfishing rod and reel along with swag from PCI and other various sponsors.
Another great event followed; on March 23-25, 2022, Choke Canyon State Park in Texas was the site of a Military Warriors Hero Camp. There were a few more attendees this time with an abundance of food. It was such a successful event that the opportunity arose to cook fish caught right there in the park. Most of the time was spent fishing and sharing stories around a campfire. Each Hero had been through some difficulties, and this Hero Camp provided the opportunity to share some experiences and laughter. It was an event to go down in history for each Hero.
